On June 26, 2025, as part of the XII Forum of the Regions of Russia and Belarus, an online cooperation agreement was signed between Vitebsk State Medical University and Amur State Medical Academy of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation.

The signing ceremony became a practical embodiment of the spirit of alliance and integration promoted at the Forum of Regions.

The document, which opens up new horizons for cooperation between the two leading medical universities of the Union State, was signed:

Denis Lits, the Vice–Rector for International Relations, Organizational and Legal Work, represented VSMU.

Irina Zhukovets, the Acting Rector of the Academy, represented Amur State Medical Academy.

The signed agreement establishes a solid legal basis for the implementation of joint projects in various fields:

organization of exchange of students, postgraduates, residents and teachers for training, internships and advanced training;

development of joint scientific research, holding of symposiums, conferences and seminars on topical issues of medicine and healthcare;

development and implementation of joint educational programs and courses, including those using remote technologies;

strengthening friendly ties between student and teaching staff, getting to know the culture and traditions of Belarus and Russia.
