The graduation ceremony of Vitebsk State Medical University for the graduates of the Faculty of Medicine was held on June 27, 2025.

384 graduates of the Faculty of Medicine, including 46 holders of diplomas with honors, are leaving Alma Mater.

The solemn event was attended by: the administration of VSMU, headed by the Rector of the University Alexey Chukanov, the Chairman of the State Examination Commission Irina Mikheenko, the Head of the the Department of Organizational work of the Vitebsk regional Organization of the BUHW Dmitry Parevsky, the Archpriest Sergiy Zakharov, the teaching staff, parents and friends of graduates.

The Rector Alexey Chukanov addressed the graduates with a parting word: "Dear graduates! Today you are taking an important step in your professional life. Let your knowledge gained at VSMU help you become not only good specialists, but also empathetic, responsive doctors. And remember: no matter how difficult the road may seem, you will never be alone. You are part of a large VSMU family, which means that the university's doors are always open to you."

The Rector Alexey Chukanov and the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Marina Fomina presented the graduates with university diplomas. The shoulder straps of the lieutenant of the medical service of the reserve were presented by the military Commissar of the Vitebsk region, Colonel Sergei Kunakhovets, and the Head of the military department of VSMU, Igor Lyatos.

The best students received Commendations from the regional committee of the BUHW for their high academic achievements and active participation in the work of the primary trade union organization of VSMU.
