On July 5, 2025, in Vitebsk, on the Flag and Coat of Arms Square, the solemn taking of the Military Oath by the 4th-year students of Vitebsk State Medical University, who are undergoing training under the reserve officer training program, took place. 161 VSMU students swore allegiance to the Republic of Belarus in the presence of their relatives and friends.

The Rector of the university Alexey Chukanov addressed the audience with words of greeting and congratulations; the mother of the student who took the oath; and a fine student Peter Bliznyov who also took the Military Oath; the rector of the church of the Holy Prophet Elijah, Father Alexander.

The military ritual ended with a solemn platoon march. Then all participants of the festive event were invited to taste the “soldier’s porridge” and take memorable photos.
