On July 30, 2025, representatives of Vitebsk State Medical University administration, headed by the Rector Alexey Chukanov, traditionally visited healthcare institutions of Mogilev region in order to monitor the readiness of the first workplaces and places of residence of young specialists and interns.

The Rector of VSMU Alexey Chukanov noted: “Creating comfortable conditions for starting a professional activity is a priority of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Belarus. Consistent work is being carried out to ensure that each graduate feels confident in his abilities and knows that they are always ready to receive the necessary assistance”.

For more than a year, the university has had a sector for supporting young specialists and interns, the main task of which is to provide comprehensive assistance and support in adapting to their first workplaces.

During the visit, representatives of the university administration not only assessed the conditions created for graduates, but also held a meeting with young specialists already working, during which they discussed issues of adaptation, social, living and legal support for doctors, professional development and support from the university.

Vice-Rector of International Affairs and Organizational and Legal Work Denis Lits noted: “During the meeting with young specialists, we discussed issues of concern to them, because it is very important for graduates to feel protected in social and legal issues”.

VSMU continues working to ensure high-quality training of personnel and create favorable conditions for the professional development of doctors.
