From August 1, 2025, graduates of Vitebsk State Medical University will begin their internship, and young specialists will begin their professional activities.
In anticipation of this event, VSMU administration, headed by the Rector Alexey Chukanov, visited medical institutions in Mogilev on July 31 to monitor the readiness of the first workplaces and places of residence of young specialists and interns.
Alexey Chukanov, Rector of VSMU, emphasized: “The Ministry of Health of the Republic of Belarus pays special attention to ensure that graduates begin their professional career in comfortable and favorable conditions. High-quality preparation of workplaces and housing is not only a matter of convenience, but also a guarantee of successful adaptation and further growth of young doctors”.
During the visit, the university delegation not only inspected the infrastructure, but also held a meeting with working young specialists. Key aspects of professional adaptation, including social, domestic and legal support, were discussed.
Denis Lits, Vice-Rector of International Affairs and Organizational and Legal Work, noted: “The University remains a reliable partner for graduates even after they receive their diplomas. We are open to dialogue and are ready to provide comprehensive support – from solving everyday issues to helping with professional development”.
VSMU not only trains highly qualified specialists, but also actively participates in their fate, creating a strong bridge between their studies and successful medical practice.
