On August 22, the regional pedagogical conference titled "On the work of the education system of Vitebsk Region in the Year of Beautification and Priority Tasks of the Five-Year Quality Plan" was held. The event was attended by Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, Alexander Subbotin; Presidential Assistant-Inspector for Vitebsk Region, Vladimir Yurgievich; and Deputy Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, Vyacheslav Durnov.

Representing VSMU at the conference were First Vice-Rector Alina Shchupakova and Dean of the Faculty of Additional Education, Elena Gusakova.

The conference gathered over 1,000 participants, including educators, representatives of education management bodies, healthcare organizations, public associations, and students.

During the event, summaries were made and future tasks outlined:

• Ensure targeted and systematic educational work with students, with particular attention to civic and patriotic education;
• Conduct ideological work within the framework of the Presidential Directive of the Republic of Belarus No. 12 dated April 9, 2025, with labor collectives and students;
• Identify crisis situations and provide assistance to students; monitor living and educational conditions of students; take timely measures to protect minors' rights and lawful interests;
• Implement a comprehensive set of measures aimed at developing students' leadership qualities in cooperation with public organizations and associations.

The VSMU delegation expressed readiness to actively participate in implementing initiatives aimed at improving and developing our region’s educational environment.
