On September 15, 2025, Rector of VSMU, Alexey Chukanov, and directors of general secondary educational institutions in Vitebsk District signed agreements on cooperation aimed at establishing specialized medical-oriented classes.

The parties to this agreement included:

- Mazolovskaya Secondary School of Vitebsk District named after V.A. Khabarov;

- Novkinskaya Secondary School of Vitebsk District named after twice Hero of the Soviet Union P.I. Klimuk;

- Staroselskaya Secondary School of Vitebsk District named after Hero of the Soviet Union V.P. Kraev.

Commenting on this event, the Rector of VSMU emphasized: 

"This is an important step in career guidance and the preparation of future healthcare professionals. We are actively engaging with districts to help talented and motivated school students consciously choose the medical profession. Our goal is not only to provide them with in-depth knowledge of chemistry and biology but also to immerse them in a professional environment, acquaint them with the university, and showcase the specifics of medical work. Such cooperation is an investment in the future of our country's medicine."
