On October 6, 2025, the administration of Vitebsk State Medical University, led by Rector Alexey Chukanov, held a systematic meeting with young specialists and interns from healthcare institutions in Gomel and Mozyr.

During the visit, representatives of the administration discussed with the doctors their initial steps in the profession, the conditions created for adaptation to new workplaces, the specifics of practical activities, and current domestic issues.

Alexey Chukanov, Rector of VSMU, emphasized:

"Such meetings are systemic in nature. We try to provide support to young professionals at this crucial stage—at the beginning of their careers—and help create the most favorable conditions for their successful integration into practical healthcare."

It is also worth noting that during the open dialogue, the young professionals expressed their satisfaction with their first jobs.

To facilitate more in-depth conversations, individual meetings were held, giving each young doctor the opportunity to ask questions and receive personal advice.

Vice-rector of International Affairs and Organizational and Legal Work Denis Lits stated:

"We observed an active and constructive attitude among the young specialists, their willingness to engage in work, propose new ideas, and strive for professional growth. This reflects a high level of training and motivation, which, of course, contributes to strengthening the human resources potential of our country's healthcare system."

The meeting was attended not only by graduates of VSMU but also by young specialists and interns from other medical universities across the country.
