forum young parliamentarians 01The delegation of Vitebsk State Medical University, headed by Denis Lits, Vice-Rector for International Relations and Organizational and Legal Work, is participating in the Youth Forum "Youth in Local Government." Held on October 9–10, 2025, in the capital, the event has become an important platform within the framework of cooperation between the Minsk and Vitebsk City Councils of Deputies.

The purpose of the forum aligns with the pressing challenges of today: to ensure intergenerational continuity, to engage ambitious young people in socially significant activities, and to foster an active civic stance among youth. During open dialogue sessions, young parliamentarians and student leaders plan to develop specific proposals that can be implemented in practice, among other issues.

The forum’s program is diverse and relevant. Key topics discussed by participants include the experience and prospects of youth councils under local governments, information work as a strategic resource for promotion, and the role of the largest youth organization (BRSM) in supporting and implementing projects.

An important element of the event was the exchange of international experience between youth from the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation, which enriched the dialogue with new perspectives and approaches.
