On October 14, 2025, the administration of Vitebsk State Medical University, headed by Rector Alexey Chukanov, met with young specialists and interns who have begun working in healthcare institutions in Polotsk and Novopolotsk.

During the visit, representatives of the administration discussed with the doctors their first steps in the profession, the conditions created for adapting to new workplaces, the specifics of practical activities, and current domestic issues.

Additionally, young doctors had the opportunity to communicate directly with representatives of the administration. These meetings allowed participants to ask questions and receive personalized advice.

Alexey Chukanov, Rector of VSMU, emphasized: "It is extremely important for us to stay in touch with our graduates. Our key goal is not only to train highly qualified specialists but also to ensure they have a successful start and ongoing support during the initial stages of their professional careers."

Denis Lits, Vice-rector of International Affairs and Organizational and Legal Work, added: "It is important for us that the transition from study to work is as smooth as possible for graduates. We provide comprehensive support and respond promptly to emerging issues, including organizational and legal concerns."
