On October 15, 2025, the first online meeting was held with Shahid Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Medical University (Pakistan). The leadership of the university from Pakistan was greeted by Denis Lits, Vice-rector    of International Affairs and Organizational and Legal Work; Elena Sharykhina, Head of the Department of International and Interregional Affairs; and Anna Pchelintseva, Head of the Department of International Affairs. This online meeting marked an important step in strengthening scientific and academic ties between the universities.

During the constructive dialogue, representatives of the two leading medical schools agreed to sign a cooperation agreement and discussed a wide range of issues aimed at enhancing bilateral cooperation.

Key topics of the meeting included:

• Academic exchanges: The parties considered the possibility of organizing exchange programs for students and faculty.
• Joint scientific research: The prospects of implementing joint scientific projects in topical areas of medicine such as oncology, immunology, and public health were discussed.

"We see great opportunities in partnering with this university, which will enable us to implement joint projects in medical education and science, as well as contribute significantly to the development of the export potential of VSMU," said Denis Lits.
