On October 17, VSMU paid tribute to mothers and fathers—those who surround each of us with love and care from the very first days of life.

Alexey Chukanov, the rector of the university, addressed the audience with warm congratulations, and the student club prepared a wonderful concert program.

Thanks and memorable gifts from the rector were presented to employees who are parents of many children and to those who, through their daily work, instill in the younger generation the true values of family. Alexey Nikolaevich also paid special attention to VSMU students and long-standing university partners, who have been implementing the innovative educational project "VSMU Youth for Family Values!" for several years. This initiative is part of a trilateral cooperation between VSMU, the Vitebsk Diocese of the Belarusian Orthodox Church, and “The Pokrov” Charitable Foundation for Family, Motherhood, and Childhood Support.

For each of us, parents are the most important and irreplaceable people. Mothers give tenderness, love, warmth, and care. Fathers embody strength, protection, confidence, and stability.

Once again, we congratulate our parents and everyone who is fortunate enough to be someone’s child — born into this world and blessed with the warmth of loving, affectionate hands!
