On October 24, 2025, Gomel State Medical University hosted the final stage of the Republican Olympiad using simulation technologies in neurology and neurosurgery. Our university was represented by Anastasia Solovyova, a 6th-year student of the General Medicine Faculty, and Olga Zmushko, Anastasia Stepankova, and Yana Kaznovetskaya, 5th-year students of the General Medicine Faculty.

The Olympiad included both theoretical (tests, situational tasks) and practical (examination: neurological assessment, lumbar puncture, virtual patient) stages. Our team demonstrated excellent knowledge and results. We especially want to highlight their virtuoso mastery of practical skills: the lumbar puncture was performed at the highest level.

The knowledge and skills were evaluated by an experienced judging panel led by Professor Ryshard Sidorovich, director of the Russian National Research Center for Neurology and Neurosurgery and chief freelance neurosurgeon of the Ministry of Health of Belarus.
