On October 29, 2025, the Vitebsk city cultural and sports festival of veterans' organizations, "Active Longevity," took place. This year's event was dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War.

The team from VSMU's veteran organization traditionally participated in this event as part of the national team of the Oktyabrsky district of Vitebsk.

The university was represented at the competition by: Chairman of the primary veteran organization of VSMU, Geut S.F.; senior teachers of the Department of Physical Culture: Tur A.V., Minin A.S., Maslak S.A.; and laboratory assistant Chernomordova T.Yu.

The competition program included disciplines such as darts, basketball hoop throws, ring throw, bowling, and others.

Based on the competition results, VSMU representatives demonstrated excellent performances:

• In the individual darts championship, senior teacher A.V. Tur took first place.
• Laboratory assistant Chernomordova T.Y. secured second place in the same discipline.
• In the team competition, the Oktyabrsky district team, which included university representatives, took second place.
