On October 30, 2025, VSMU hosted the university stage of the Republican "Student of the Year" competition, which was attended by the most creative, active, and talented representatives of the faculties. The contestants demonstrated their skills and talents to the jury and audience across three competitive tests: "business card," "public speaking," and "creative competition."

According to the results of the university stage, Maria Kren, a 4th-year student of the Stomatological Faculty, was named the winner. She will represent VSMU at the regional stage of the Republican "The Student of the Year" competition.
