On October 30–31, 2025, the First Congress of Respiratory Medicine Specialists from CIS countries took place in Minsk.

The congress was attended by presentations from the staff of the Department of Clinical Immunology and Allergology with a course of the Faculty of Advanced Training and Staff Retraining at VSMU, consisting of the Head of the Department, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Oksana Ishchenko, senior lecturer Tatiana Gordievich and senior lecturer Sergey Generalov, as well as staff of the Department of Phisiopulmonology with a course of the Faculty of Advanced Training and Staff Retraining, consisting of the Head of the Department, Candidate of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor Alexander Budritsky, Candidate of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor Natalia Pravada.

Discussions at the congress focused on contemporary issues such as the epidemiology of respiratory diseases, advancements in diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of both infectious and non-communicable lung diseases, and the emerging field of precision respiratory medicine. Participants also shared their experiences in organizing pulmonological and phisiological care.
