rassledov genocida 01From October 29 to November 3, the university hosted informational sessions on the topic "Investigation of the Criminal Case on the Genocide of the Belarusian People during the Great Patriotic War" for first-year students of all faculties. The sessions featured participation by I.V. Metelitsa, Deputy Head of the Department for Supervision of Law Enforcement in the Vitebsk Region Prosecutor's Office.

Igor Vladimirovich emphasized the importance of investigating and ensuring fair punishment for Nazi criminals and their accomplices involved in the deaths of millions of Belarusians. As part of the criminal case, numerous facts have been revealed confirming that the primary goal of the Nazis and their accomplices during the war was the ethnic extermination of the Belarusian people. Analysis of archival materials suggests that the actual civilian death toll is significantly higher than previously estimated.

The investigation into the genocide of the Belarusian people during the Great Patriotic War serves as a tribute to the memory of the victims, contributes to the establishment and preservation of historical justice, and strengthens the sovereignty of the Republic of Belarus.
