On November 2, 2025, as part of the project "Restoration of the Temples of the Vitebsk Region," an excursion to the Holy Protection Cathedral of Vitebsk and the Church of the Holy Martyr Athanasius of Brest, conducted by Priest Vladimir Ruzhinsky-Ganzienko, was organized for VSMU students.

The students learned about the history of the restoration of the Holy Protection Cathedral, as well as its murals and relics.

At the end of the tour, students engaged in a discussion with the cathedral’s rector, Priest Vasily Vabischevich, on the topic "Religion: Its Significance in Modern Society." During the conversation, everyone had the opportunity to ask questions.
