In celebration of the 91st anniversary of the University and the 66th anniversary of the Pharmaceutical Faculty, within the framework of the scientific and educational cluster "Medicine and Pharmacy — Innovative Projects," VSMU, in collaboration with Vitebsk UE "Pharmacy," organized a photo exhibition titled "History of the Faculty of Pharmacy and Vitebsk Pharmacies."

The exhibition was inaugurated by Denis Lits, Vice-rector of International Affairs and Organizational and Legal Work. He congratulated the audience on the university’s birthday, highlighted the importance of respecting history, and emphasized the vital role of the Pharmaceutical Faculty in training pharmaceutical personnel for the industry in our country.

Sergey Geut, Chairman of the Veterans Organization of the All-Russian State Medical University, addressed attendees, speaking about the high quality of personnel training at the Pharmaceutical Faculty.

The photo exhibition features images of Vitebsk and Polotsk pharmacies from the early days through the 1970s, the first building of the Pharmaceutical Faculty of VSMU (located at the beginning of Frunze Avenue until 1984), the main VSMU building, and Dormitory No. 4 in the 1970s. A number of photographs illustrate life at the faculty during the 1960s–1980s: moments from training sessions, military drills, May and October demonstrations, excursions, and holiday camps. The exhibition generated great interest among faculty staff and students.
