On November 5, 2025, the Vitebsk Concert Hall became the center of festive celebrations dedicated to the birthday of Vitebsk State Medical University. The evening was filled with exquisite music, elegant costumes, and warm smiles as students and university employees gathered for the traditional Autumn Ball.

This event, held annually, provides the most outstanding representatives of VSMU's student community with the opportunity to participate in one of the university’s most refined autumn celebrations.

The ball was rooted in classical tradition, harmoniously complemented by modern creative elements, which helped create a unique atmosphere inspired by the history, architecture, and musical heritage of our country.

Almost forgotten dances from past eras — polonaise, quadrille, mazurka, waltz, and cotillion — found new life on the parquet floor. Notably, their mentors — university administrators and teachers — actively participated in the dance performances alongside the students.

Performances by the creative teams of the VSMU student club added vibrancy to the event.

The evening culminated with the selection of the King and Queen of the Ball, chosen by a jury composed of university faculty and employees. The best couple of the evening were German Kuryanchik, a student of the General Medicine Faculty and Elena Gorlova, a student of the Pediatrics Faculty.

Undoubtedly, the Autumn Ball has become a vivid and memorable event in the life of the university community, beautifully blending academic traditions with students’ creative potential.
