From November 11–12, 2025 year, the table tennis competitions took place as part of the year-round sports contest among Vitebsk students. The tournament was organized by the “Vitebsk” City Sports Club.

The following students represented Vitebsk State Medical University: Kristina Pogodkina (5th year, General Medicine Faculty); Valeria Molodaya (2nd year, Pharmaceutical Faculty); Veronika Gertsik (2nd year, General Medicine Faculty); Ilya Kapitonov (5th year, Stomatological Faculty); Danila Zyatkov (3rd year, General Medicine Faculty); Alexey Letsko (1st year, Pharmaceutical Faculty).

Our athletes demonstrated excellent technique, a strong will to win, and true team spirit, which contributed to their successful results.

In the individual championship among girls, the awards were distributed as follows:

• Kristina Pogodkina — second place;
• Valeria Molodaya — third place;
• Veronika Gertsik — Fourth place.

Additionally, the women’s team secured first place in the team competition after a hard-fought battle.

Overall, based on all competitions, the VSMU team ranked second in the overall standings, earning a spot on the podium.
