From November 17 to November 28, 2025, Vitebsk State Medical University served as a platform for students from Moscow to gain valuable practical experience. During these days, fifth-year students of the N.F. Filatov Clinical Institute of Child Health at Sechenov University underwent training at VSMU to develop essential professional skills in Pediatric Surgery.
On November 21, a significant meeting took place, marking the highlight of the first week of practice. Denis Lits, Vice-Rector of International Affairs and Organizational and Legal Work, welcomed the Moscow guests, personally greeting them and hearing their initial impressions of the university and the city.
In a warm and cordial atmosphere, the participants discussed the importance of such educational programs. Denis Lits praised the high level of training at Sechenov University and expressed confidence that the internship at VSMU would enable students to acquire new practical skills and familiarize themselves with Belarusian healthcare organization.
"It is a pleasure for our university to host future colleagues from one of Russia’s oldest medical universities. I am confident that the exchange of knowledge and experience will be mutually beneficial and will help strengthen our partnership," said the Vice-Rector of VSMU.
The students expressed their gratitude for the warm welcome and well-organized internship. They noted VSMU’s modern facilities and the professionalism of the teaching staff, who generously shared their expertise.
This internship is undoubtedly a valuable step in their professional development and will foster friendly and collaborative relations between VSMU and Sechenov University.
