Vitebsk State Medical University continues to actively involve young people in the socio-political life of the country!
On November 26, 2025, our university hosted a meeting between senior students of the General Medicine Faculty and representatives of the Vitebsk regional headquarters of “the Iskra” Youth Movement of the Belarusian “Belaya Rus” Party. The guests included Nikita Skaskevich, a student of the Pediatrics Faculty and representative of the organization, as well as Egor Kostyukovich, chairman of the youth wing of the Primary Organization of the “Belaya Rus” Republican Public Association, also a student of the Pediatrics Faculty.
The meeting was a valuable opportunity for our students to:
- Learn more about the party’s activities: Representatives spoke about key projects, areas of work, and their role in shaping civil society.
- Discuss current topics: Issues such as youth participation in national development, support for student initiatives, and fostering an active civic stance were addressed.
- Ask engaging questions: Students had the chance to pose direct questions and share opinions on various socio-political topics.
During the open dialogue, representatives of the Belarusian “Belaya Rus” Party emphasized the importance of active civic engagement among young people, their contribution to Belarus’s future, and their readiness to support initiatives benefiting society.
As Nikita Skaskevich noted:
“The youth wing is not just a ‘cell.’ It’s a catalyst for change. Your ideas are not just heard — they are implemented. Our doors are open to everyone who cares about the future of our country. We value your desire to develop and to make the world around you a better place.”
“Youth is the present. Today, you have the power to influence the country we will live in tomorrow.”
“Belaya Rus is a platform that provides the tools to realize your ambitions.”
Therefore, today’s event is not just a speech — it’s an invitation. An invitation to jointly build a strong, modern, and prosperous Belarus.
We believe that events like this will further strengthen the ties between VSMU students and public organizations!
