In November–December 2025, the team of the student innovation project "Youth of VSMU for Family Values. Family and Spiritual and Moral Traditions of Belarus" participated in online training sessions as part of the Republican contest of Youth Social Projects "Youth of Belarus for Life, Morality, and Family Values." These sessions covered topics such as "Project from A to Z. Teamwork", "Project Organization Experience: Learning from the Best", and "Project Promotion Strategy". The competition is organized by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus, the Belarusian Orthodox Church, and the Pokrov Charitable Foundation for Family, Motherhood, and Childhood Support.
The aim of the contest is to involve young people’s potential in addressing socially significant issues of our time. By the end of the academic year, VSMU students will develop their own presentations and projects exploring themes of traditional family values, the spiritual traditions of the Belarusian people, and the continuity of generations.
In December, project participants organized presentations of student projects titled "Family and Spiritual and Moral Traditions of Belarus", "Restoration of Temples in the Vitebsk Region", and "Restored Temples of Vitebsk". They also arranged an excursion to the Church of the Resurrection of Christ for students of the General Medicine Faculty, the Overseas Students Training Faculty, and secondary school students.
Al-Sahli Ahmed Rabeh, a first-year student of the Overseas Students Training Faculty, shared his personal photo exhibition, "The Belarusian Village: A Student’s View from Lebanon," which was inspired by the excursion route "Five Temples – Five Destinies." At the Holy Intercession Cathedral in Vitebsk, VSMU students viewed a documentary about Saint Luke Voino-Yasenetsky, a scientist, surgeon, and saint, followed by a conversation with Priest Vasily Vabishchevich.
