On 12/12/2025, the Vth International Scientific and Practical Conference titled "Pharmacy. Challenges of the Time" took place. The conference was organized by Sechenov University (Moscow) and VSMU. Galina Ramenskaya, Director of the Institute of Pharmacy, and Galina Glembotskaya, Professor of the Department of Organization and Economics of Pharmacy, delivered welcoming speeches from Sechenov University. Additionally, Elena Asirian, Vice–Rector of Research, and Valentina Kugach, Dean of the Pharmaceutical Faculty, addressed our university.

The conference featured two sections:

1. Modern Pharmacy: Organizational and Economic Priorities
2. Current Trends in the Development of Innovative Medicines

A total of 27 presentations were heard: 16 from the Institute of Pharmacy, 10 from VSMU, and 1 from St. Petersburg Chemical and Pharmaceutical University. The works covered a diverse range of topics, including the study of specific segments of the pharmaceutical market, provision of medicines to pediatric patients, and the specifics of pharmaceutical care for older patients. Other topics included pharmaceutical drug development, quality control, efficacy and safety assessment, chemical synthesis, research of medicinal plant raw materials and medicines based on them, biotechnology, and more.

The reports garnered significant interest from the audience. The discussion underscored the erudition of the speakers, their high scientific level, and their ability to present research results effectively. The event demonstrated its importance as an educational and practical platform.
