On December 13–14, 2025, the Vitebsk State Order of Peoples' Friendship Medical University hosted the preliminary stages of the university Olympiads in Chemistry and Biology for 11th-grade students of general secondary education institutions.

The preliminary Olympiad stage was conducted online in the form of computer testing. A total of 245 students participated in Chemistry, and 578 students in Biology.

Participation in university Olympiads provides an opportunity to attract the most prepared and motivated applicants to VSMU—those aiming for admission to programs such as "Medical Science," "Dentistry," "Pediatrics," and "Pharmacy." It helps identify students who have the potential to master their chosen professional field and achieve self-realization within it. Additionally, it expands the ways and opportunities for interaction between VSMU and secondary education institutions, increases students' interest in their studied subjects, fosters the development of their creative abilities, deepens their theoretical knowledge and practical skills, and promotes personal growth. It also contributes to training talented students to continue their studies at VSMU.
