Meeting of delegates of the All-Belarusian People's Assembly from VSMU with students and staff of the University

Meeting of delegates 01On December 18–19, 2025, an important political event will take place in our country, defining the strategy for the further development of our state for the next five years.

The key will be the address of the President of our country, Alexander Lukashenko, to the Belarusian people and Parliament, as well as the approval of the program of socio-economic development of the Republic of Belarus for 2026–2030.

On December 16, during a meeting with students and staff of VSMU, Alexey Chukanov, a delegate of the The All-Belarusian National Assembly, rector of the university, deputy of the Vitebsk City Council of Deputies, and a member of the Supreme Political Council of the Belarusian Party "Belaya Rus" from the Vitebsk region, emphasized the importance and significance of the upcoming political event for the country's development. He outlined ways to further develop the university within the framework of the country's unified strategic development.

Alexey Nikolaevich highlighted the achievements of our country over the recent period, which reflect the implemented state policy based on traditional values: mutual respect, reverence for national traditions, and patriotism. He emphasized the importance of the family, which plays a leading role in shaping the consciousness of young people, their proper social function, and civic stance.

Next, Elizaveta Ivanova, the youngest delegate of the The All-Belarusian National Assembly, a third-year student of the General Medicine Faculty, shared her vision of the role of youth in implementing state programs. She stressed that the All-Belarusian National Assembly is a unique event where the voice of the younger generation is heard. Elizabeth spoke about the wide opportunities being created in the country for education, creativity, and starting a professional career, and also called on her peers to actively participate in the public life of the university and the country.

Dmitry Kuzhel, Vice-Rector of Ideological and Educational Work, noted the key role of the The All-Belarusian National Assembly in consolidating society and shaping national ideology.

At the end of the meeting, students and staff were informed about the opportunity to view the speech of the Head of State and key reports via live broadcast in the classrooms and structural divisions of our university.
