On December 19, 2025, the main academic building of Vitebsk State Medical University transformed into a true fairy tale. On the eve of the New Year, a festive matinee was held for the children of VSMU employees.

The event, organized by the university administration in cooperation with the primary organization of the NGO "Belarusian Union of Women" and the VSMU staff trade union committee, was part of the charity initiative "Our Children."

The area near the Christmas tree was illuminated with lights, smiles, and holiday cheer. Bright Christmas ornaments, a beautifully decorated fir tree sparkling with garlands, Santa Claus, the Snow Maiden, and characters from favorite fairy tales created a magical holiday atmosphere. The children enthusiastically immersed themselves in fun contests, lively dances, and exciting games, feeling like part of a wondrous story.

The traditional highlight of the celebration was the distribution of sweet gifts, which the children received from the hands of fairy-tale characters.

This day brought unforgettable emotions, filled with the spirit of the New Year, and reminded everyone that the staff of VSMU is a large, friendly family.
