On December 22, 2025, Vitebsk State Medical University hosted a meeting between Alexey Chukanov, Rector of VSMU, participant of the VII All-Belarusian National Assembly, and the university staff.

During the conversation, Alexey Nikolaevich shared his impressions of the two-day work at the VNC and once again drew the staff’s attention to the profound and meaningful theses of the President’s Message to the Belarusian people and Parliament, as well as the seven key priorities of the socio-economic development program for our country for the upcoming five years.

A particular emphasis was placed on the role of the education and healthcare systems as fundamental pillars of a strong and prosperous state. Alexey Nikolaevich highlighted that the state allocates great strategic attention to these areas, and that the successful implementation of the approved development program for 2026-2030 largely depends on the cohesion, initiative, and high professionalism of each member of the university staff.
