On January 9, 2026, a meeting focused on legal awareness was held at Vitebsk State Medical University with international students residing in dormitories №1 and №2. The event was organized for students of the Faculty of Overseas Students Training to improve their legal literacy and facilitate their adaptation in Belarus.
Participants included representatives from the Citizenship and Migration Department of the Department of Internal Affairs, as well as the Citizenship and Migration Department of the administration of the Pervomaysky District of Vitebsk.
During the discussion, experts provided detailed explanations of current regulations regarding stay in the Republic of Belarus, conduct standards, and questions related to personal safety. Special emphasis was placed on crime prevention. Students were informed about legislation concerning counteracting drug abuse, with a clear note on the strict criminal liability for illegal drug trafficking.
Additionally, the importance of strictly following traffic rules and measures to prevent corruption and other offenses were discussed.
Such meetings are held regularly and help create a safe and comfortable environment for the study and residence of foreign citizens in Vitebsk.
