As part of the implementation of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Belarus’s strategy to support young specialists, the administration of Vitebsk State Medical University conducts a systematic, ongoing dialogue with interns and young professionals working in healthcare institutions.

On January 22, 2026, the Rector of VSMU, Alexey Chukanov, met with interns and young specialists from Rogachev Central District Hospital to discuss issues related to mentoring organization, enhancing practical orientation in education, and improving study programs, based on the assessment by today’s students of the relevance and demand for the knowledge they gained at the university.

Special attention was paid to the effectiveness of addressing housing, everyday life, and social issues, which are priority tasks in the social policy of our state.

Participants shared their practical experience, achievements, nuances of their work, and their opinions on the relevance of the knowledge received at the university.

During the visit, an agreement was reached on organizing training for specialists from Rogachev Central District Hospital in new methods of providing assistance using high-tech equipment, which is one of the ways to solve the tasks outlined by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Belarus.
