On January 29, 2026, Vitebsk State Medical University participated online in the annual scientific and methodological conference titled "Problems of Modern Education at a Medical University Through the Eyes of a Teacher and a Student."

Sergey Nazarev, a teacher and organizer, delivered a presentation on behalf of VSMU. In his speech, titled "Patriotic, Spiritual, and Moral Education within the Framework of the Student Innovation Project 'Youth of VSMU for Family Values'," he shared our university’s systematic experience in this important area with colleagues from Smolensk. He highlighted the goals, objectives, and practical mechanisms of the project, which aims to strengthen traditional values, foster a sense of citizenship, and promote patriotism among future doctors.

Participation in this conference underscores the importance of interuniversity and international cooperation in educational methods. The exchange of best practices between VSMU and Smolensk State Medical University contributes to developing new, effective approaches to training and educating modern medical professionals—combining professional skills, high ethical standards, and social responsibility.
