On January 29, 2026, the plenary session of the 81st scientific conference titled "Achievements of Fundamental, Clinical Medicine, and Pharmacy" was held at Vitebsk State Medical University.

The event served as a platform for summarizing the work of various scientific sections and for presenting dissertation research results by postgraduate and doctoral students of the university.

Vice Rector of Research Elena Asiryan welcomed the participants with opening remarks.

During the plenary session, the following scientific reports were presented:

• Ivan Savkov, Senior Lecturer at the Department of Pharmaceutical Technologies with a course in FPC and PC, presented on "Pharmaceutical Development of Tablets and Hard Capsules of Dried Raspberry Leaf Extract."
• Arina Marchenko, Senior Lecturer at the Department of Ophthalmology and Otorhinolaryngology, PhD, delivered a report titled "Contribution of Human Viroma Representatives to the Development of Inflammatory Diseases of the Vascular Membrane of the Eyes."
• Tatiana Gordievich, Senior Lecturer at the Department of Clinical Immunology and Allergology with a course in FPC and PC, spoke on "Comparative Assessment of the Immune Response of Patients with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease During Provocative Testing with a Cigarette Smoke Solution."

The presented works reflect the current directions of scientific research at VSMU and demonstrate the high level of research conducted at the university.
