Every winter, the sports contest "Vigor and Health" is held at Vitebsk State Medical University. Organized by the staff trade union committee with the support of the university administration and the sports club, the event aims to promote a healthy lifestyle, foster a sports spirit, and unite the workforce.

On February 9, 2026, an award ceremony was held for the winners and prize-winners of the Spartakiad among university employees who are members of the trade union. Certificates of honor and prizes were presented by Vladimir Plytkevich, Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Committee of the Belarusian Trade Union of Healthcare Workers, and Dmitry Kuzhel, Vice-Rector of Ideological and Educational Work.

As part of the Spartakiad, which took place in January–February 2026, competitions were held in 13 sports disciplines, with approximately 300 participants in the sports events.
