On February 17, 2026, an exhibition of creative works by child patients of the Vitebsk Regional Palliative Care Center was opened at the university, within the framework of cooperation between VSMU and the Vitebsk Regional Specialized Children's Home.
Dmitry Kuzhel, Vice-Rector of Ideological and Educational Work, and Elena Mizerkina, Chief Physician of the Vitebsk Regional Specialized Orphanage, jointly inaugurated the exhibition.
The exhibition features drawings created by children aged 7 to 17, as well as photographs from the project "Taking Care of a Happy Childhood." It vividly demonstrates the talents of children with disabilities and their creative self-expression.
For all present, Ksenia Shved, a fifth-year student of the General Medicine Faculty and soloist of the student club, performed the song "Beautiful Far Away."
Participants of the project "Family and Spiritual and Moral Traditions of Belarus" and VSMU volunteers, who regularly assist the orphanage, contributed to the preparation of the exhibition.
