On February 19, 2026, Vitebsk State Medical University hosted a reporting conference of the primary trade union organization of the university’s employees, the "VSMU" branch of the Belarusian Trade Union of Healthcare Workers.

The conference was attended by representatives of the administration, delegates from the university’s structural divisions, and Svetlana Kutuzova, technical labor inspector of the Vitebsk Regional Organization of the Belarusian Trade Union of Healthcare Workers.

According to the agenda, participants heard and discussed several key issues related to the trade union’s activities during the reporting period.

The main report was delivered by Alexander Myasoedov, chairman of the trade union staff committee, who presented a detailed overview of the committee’s work. In his speech, he emphasized the main activities aimed at protecting the social and labor rights and interests of trade union members.

The delegates then addressed financial matters. Andrey Shulmin, Chairman of the Audit Commission, reported on the commission’s work results for 2025. Due to the expiration of their terms, the conference reviewed and approved changes to the commission’s composition.

Yulia Khomchenko, Treasurer of the Staff Association, gave two presentations: the report on the implementation of the trade union budget for 2025, which was approved, followed by the discussion and adoption of the income and expenditure estimates for 2026.

Evgeny Shabunin, Deputy Chairman of the Trade Union Committee, submitted a draft Regulation on the Assistance Fund for approval, which was adopted unanimously.

An important part of the agenda focused on the implementation of the collective agreement. Olga Fedchuk, Chairman of the Commission for Public Control over labor legislation compliance, presented the results of the 2025 collective agreement implementation. Subsequently, proposals for additions and amendments to the collective agreement for the future were reviewed and approved.

Following the voting, all submitted reports and draft documents were accepted by the delegates.

At the end of the event, awards were presented to university staff.
