On February 21, 2026, a vibrant celebration of national creativity, "Energy of Traditions and Heritage of Society," took place at the Vitebsk Concert Hall under the motto: The energy of traditions is the heritage of society! The event, a true kaleidoscope of cultures, brought together lovers of original art from across the region.
Vitebsk State Medical University and its students from distant Sri Lanka and warm Nigeria proudly represented their countries.
Festival guests not only observed but also experienced the culture firsthand. Sri Lankan VSMU students Amira and Khan, demonstrating their professional skills, held an engaging master class on henna painting, "Mehendi," immersing participants in this ancient art.
The concert program was filled with vibrant performances by foreign students of the university. In the "Rhythms of Energy of Traditions and Heritage of Society" category, the energetic national dance performed by VSMU’s ethnic dance group "Mixfeeds" left a lasting impression on the audience, radiating positive energy.
The "Sounds of Ethno" category amazed listeners with its rich diversity. The soulful and captivating melody of the Ceylon flute, played by student Adcharan, enchanted everyone. Equally moving was the performance by the duo Salma and Gleshan, who sang a heartfelt song in Sinhala accompanied by guitar. Nigerian student Hefzibah won the hearts of the audience with her performance of “Ire” in Yoruba, sharing a piece of African soul with all.
The “Energy of Traditions and Heritage of Society” celebration once again confirmed that VSMU students are not only excelling in medical science but also eagerly share fragments of their unique cultures with others.
