dukhovno nravstvennyye traditsii 01On February 25, 2026, the VSMU Student Center hosted a presentation of two videos: "Family and Spiritual and Moral Traditions of Belarus" and "Restoration of Temples of the Vitebsk Region," created by the participants of these projects.

Elizaveta Chindo, a fourth-year student of the General Medicine Faculty, also presented her project titled "My Family Is More Than Just Names." She shared stories about her family, dynasties, relics, and traditions preserved within her family. The students showed great interest in the meticulous research Elizabeth conducted — her family tree spans eight generations and includes 142 relatives. Elizabeth’s family honors the memory of relatives who lived through the Siege of Leningrad and veterans of the Great Patriotic War.

"Family history is the history of the nation," as the saying goes. Studying our family history helps us understand the significance of our actions and responsibilities to previous and future generations. Through the lens of our family, we better understand ourselves and realize our place in the broader history of our people and country.
