VSMU hosted a screening of the documentary play "Calendar of Memory: Pages of Destiny"

memory calendar 01On April 16, 2026, the documentary play "Calendar of Memory: Pages of Destiny" was shown at the Vitebsk State Medical University.

The large-scale production, created with the participation of students and students from all over the country, is designed to strengthen the continuity of generations and preserve the historical memory of the feat of the Belarusian people during the Great Patriotic War.

Students and staff of VSMU, as well as students of schools and gymnasiums in Vitebsk, became viewers of the poignant chronicle.

The performance was based on authentic archival materials: diaries of civilians, front-line letters, museum exhibits and documents from memorial complexes.

The production features three documentary chapters.:

 "Sounds of the silent Earth" — eyewitness accounts of the tragedy of the burned villages;

"Forever inscribed in the ranks" — the last letters of soldiers and their unfulfilled dreams;

"Arithmetic of the Soul" — memoirs of concentration camp prisoners.

The uniqueness of the project lies in the fact that it combines the rigorous documentality of archival materials with the vibrant emotional power of youth. The production is a bridge between generations, where the fate of a man of the same age as that war finds the most sensitive response in the heart of his contemporary living today.
