On April 22-23, 2026, Moscow hosted a large—scale scientific event - the conference of young scientists with international participation "New Approaches in the Field of Microbiology, Virology, Immunology and Epidemiology", organized by the I.I. Mechnikov Scientific Research Institute of Vaccines and Serums in cooperation with the Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation.

Among the participants were Fyodor Matyushenko and Lyubov Sochneva, 5th year students of the General Medicine Faculty at VSMU, who made a presentation on "Epidemiological differences in allergies in the Republic of Belarus", prepared under the scientific supervision of Irina Shchurok, Associate Professor of the Department of Clinical Immunology and Allergology with a course in FPC.

Following the results of the conference, the students were awarded a diploma of the III degree.

The organizers and the competition committee noted the high level of the submitted work and the importance of studying the prevalence of allergic diseases.

In addition, the students successfully tested the results of scientific research conducted as part of an intra-university startup grant for students, which once again demonstrates the effective support of student science at our university.
