On April 24, 2026, the XII All-Russian Olympiad in Surgical Dentistry was held at the I.M. Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University (Moscow).

30 students from leading universities in Russia and other countries took part in the intellectual and practical competition. The competition was the highest: in total, the organizers identified 4 winners in various categories.

The honor of Vitebsk State Medical University was defended by students of the Stomatological Faculty, Alina Zaitseva and Anastasia Lutsko, who worthily represented our university on the capital's site.

The participants had to go through several difficult stages:

Oroantral joint plastic surgery on biological models (work requiring jewelry precision);

Dental implantation (practical skills development);

Description of the disease of the oral mucosa from a photograph (diagnostic unit);

Theoretical part (in-depth knowledge of the subject);

Business card (creative self-presentation of the team).

Olympiad results:

The diploma of the III degree was won by the 4th year student Alina Zaitseva.

The VSMU team won the first place in the "Business Card" nomination – a brilliant creative victory that captivated the jury.

It is important to note that success is not accidental: Alina and Anastasia are active members of the surgical dentistry circle at the department. Maria Mutyuk, senior lecturer at the Department of Maxillofacial Surgery, conducted the preparation for the Olympiad and provided direct guidance.
