On April 27, 2026, Alexey Chukanov, Rector of Vitebsk State Medical University, met with Bogdan Voronovsky, Director General of the Association of Eastern European Universities (AEU).

The key event of the negotiations was the signing of a cooperation agreement, which will allow for active work to attract motivated and gifted students from around the world to study at VSMU.

The partnership will not only strengthen the position of our university in the region, but also increase its attractiveness to applicants from different parts of the world, allowing us to significantly expand the geography of enrollment. There are plans to actively attract international students from Asia, Africa, the Middle East and Latin America.
