The delegation of Vitebsk State Medical University, headed by the Rector of the University Alexey Chukanov, is taking part in the 31st International Medical Forum "Healthcare of Belarus-2026", which is taking place from May 12 to May 15, 2026 at the Minsk International Exhibition Center.

Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus Natalia Vladimirovna Petkevich and Minister of Health of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Valeryevich Khodzhaev got acquainted with the exposition of VSMU, which presents innovative scientific developments, promising medical specialties and modern teaching methods.

Among the innovative developments of VSMU: "Virtual Patient", which allows students to form clinical competencies, the "Multibak" test system for the diagnosis of invasive bacterial infections by multiplex Polymerase Chain Reaction in real time, a test system for determining small non-coding RNA molecules expression levels during the progression of toxic liver fibrosis, etc.

The Forum, which brings together leading experts in the field of medicine, pharmacy and medical education, is an important platform for the exchange of experience and the presentation of innovations.

Visitors are actively interested in the exposition of VSMU: new educational programs, opportunities for applicants and promising research of the university.

The VIII Republican Scientific and Practical Conference was also held within the framework of the forum. At the section devoted to modern physiotherapy technologies and hardware, a trainee teacher of the Department of Medical Rehabilitation with a course in Faculty of Advanced Training and Staff Retraining, a neurologist of the 1st neurological department of the Healthcare Establishment "Vitebsk Regional Clinical Hospital" spoke Ekaterina Paramonova.
