Guided tour "Restored temples of Vitebsk"

Restored temples 01On May 14, 2026, participants of the student project "Youth of VSMU for family values" conducted an excursion for participants of the open military-patriotic competition "I would join the army" - students of Samarkand State Medical University (Uzbekistan).

Students of SamSMU walked along the excursion route "Restored Temples of Vitebsk", which includes a memorial sign erected on the university grounds on the site of the temple dedicated to the Beheading of the head of St. John the Baptist, as well as temples located in the historical center of Vitebsk. The route ended at Victory Square near the memorial "Three Bayonets", erected in memory of the heroes who gave their lives for the liberation of Vitebsk during the Great Patriotic War.

Students from Uzbekistan got acquainted with the historical and cultural sights of our city, learned more about its history and the preservation of spiritual and moral traditions in Belarus.
