On May 16, 2026, an Open Day was held at the Vitebsk State Order of Peoples' Friendship Medical University Educational Establishment.

The event was held within the framework of the XVI Education Week of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization member States "Education Without Borders".

The rector of the University, Alexey Chukanov, traditionally addressed the applicants and their legal representatives, who noted the high level of organization of the educational process and the advantages of studying at VSMU. During the event, a presentation of the university was organized, its traditions and current educational opportunities were highlighted.

Special attention was paid to clarifying the admission rules for 2026 at VSMU, as well as analyzing the competitive situation and passing scores in 2025.

The system of targeted training was considered in detail: future students were explained the procedure for obtaining targeted directions and the main advantages of this mechanism, including guaranteed employment after graduation.

Within the framework of the event, the registration and issuance of contracts on targeted training was also organized.

The solemn part of the program was complemented by performances by the creative teams of the VSMU student club, which clearly demonstrated the versatility of student life at the university.
