On May 21, 2026, Vitebsk State Medical University hosted a Single Information Day. The key theme of the event was: "Trends and new directions of tourism development in Belarus". Elena Asiryan, Vice-Rector for Research, made a presentation to the university staff.

In her speech, she highlighted in detail the current trends in the development of tourism in Belarus, focusing on the main areas of the tourism industry. The meeting participants discussed the development of the republic's tourism sector, noting that improving the tourism industry is one of the priorities of the current five-year plan.

Special attention in the report was paid to the tourism potential of Vitebsk region, as well as the variety of sanatorium-resort and wellness opportunities in the region, which open up new prospects for domestic and inbound tourism.
