From May 19 to May 21, 2026, the university's kettlebell lifting championship, dedicated to the 81st anniversary of the Victory of the Soviet People in the Great Patriotic War, was held in the gym of the VSMU dormitory No. 4.

According to the results of the men's two-man competition in the weight category up to 75 kg, the 1st place was taken by Gaiduk Dmitry (3 General Medicine Faculty), the 2nd place – Sidorik Egor (2 General Medicine Faculty), the 3rd place – Azhelis Danila (2 General Medicine Faculty).

In the weight category up to 90 kg, Daniil Matveev (3 General Medicine Faculty) won the 1st place, David Gritskevich (1 General Medicine Faculty) took the 2nd place, Kirill Polonsky (1 General Medicine Faculty) took the 3rd place.

In the weight category over 90 kg, Vladislav Shulga (2 General Medicine Faculty) took the 1st place, Maxim Skidan (2 General Medicine Faculty) took the 2nd place, Vladislav Baran (2 General Medicine Faculty) took the 3rd place.

In the women's two-man event in the weight category up to 70 kg, Bertosh Polina (2 General Medicine Faculty) won the 1st place, Maria Chmyr (2 General Medicine Faculty) took the 2nd place, Milana Borovikova (2 General Medicine Faculty) took the 3rd place.

In the weight category over 70 kg, Daria Melnikova (4 General Medicine Faculty) took 1st place, Natalia Kuten (2 General Medicine Faculty) took 2nd place, and Alina Pytaleva (2 General Medicine Faculty) took 3rd place.

The holding of these competitions contributed to the popularization and development of kettlebell lifting at the university, attracting students to physical education and sports, and a healthy lifestyle.
