On May 22, 2026, the regional stage of the republican military-applied game "Breakthrough" took place on the basis of the 103rd Vitebsk Separate Guards Airborne Brigade.

The VSMU team, formed from activists of the military-patriotic club "I Serve the Fatherland", showed excellent results and took second place in the team competition.

The gap between first and second place was only one point — the fight went all the way to the finish line, and only a minimal difference in the final scores prevented our guys from rising to the highest step of the podium.

The program of the regional stage included five disciplines: a team "Assault lane" with overcoming obstacles and working in equipment, individual standards "Sniper frontier" and "Tactical shooting", a modern discipline "An Unmanned aerial vehicle operator" in a simulator, as well as an intellectual tournament on the history and fundamentals of the state system.

The VSMU team demonstrated coherence, endurance and deep theoretical knowledge.

Team achievements:

1st place in the "Assault Lane" stage — perfect coordination and speed in the most difficult tactical test.

The 1st place in the intellectual tournament is a confirmation of the participants' high erudition.

2nd place in the team competition according to the results of all disciplines.

Personal awards:

Stanislav Khilko — 2nd place in the nomination "An Unmanned aerial vehicle Operator";

Stanislav Leonovich — 3rd place in the nomination "Sniper frontier".

Participation in the Breakthrough game has become an important experience for VSMU students to test themselves and demonstrate that future doctors possess not only academic knowledge, but also fortitude, discipline and the ability to work in a team.
