On May 27, 2026, Vitebsk State Medical University hosted a large-scale information and educational event organized with the participation of the university administration and representatives of law enforcement agencies.

Students of the Overseas Students Training Faculty, for whom the issues of legal literacy and legal stay in the Republic of Belarus are of particular importance, took an active part in it.

The event was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Belarus and the Department of Internal Affairs of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee.:

Inna Borisovna Studenichnik — First Deputy Head of the Department of Citizenship and Migration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, Police Colonel;

Denis Anatolyevich Shkurko — Head of the Drug Control and Anti-Trafficking Department of the Criminal Police Department of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, Police Colonel;

Avik Svetlana Petrovna — Head of the Department of Citizenship and Migration of the Public Security Police of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, Police Colonel;

Nadezhda Sergeevna Kasperovich is the head of the agitation and propaganda department of the Department of the State Automobile Inspectorate of the Public Security Police of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, Major of the militia.

The topic of the conversation was topical issues of compliance with the migration legislation of the Republic of Belarus, the prevention of offenses and crimes among young people, countering drug trafficking, as well as road safety rules and measures of administrative responsibility.

The speakers paid special attention to informing foreign citizens about their rights and obligations, as well as algorithms of actions in non-standard and potentially dangerous situations.

During the meeting, students were shown videos of a preventive nature.

Such events at the VSMU site are held on a regular basis and are an important part of educational and adaptive work with foreign students, contributing to the creation of a comfortable and safe educational environment.
