Miss Grace International

On 17 March 2022, a truly spring competition of national cultures, creativity and beauty “Grace International” took place. Eight beautiful girls from different countries fought for the "Miss Grace International" title. The competition consisted of three parts: presentation of the gastronomic culture of the native country, a creative number and oratory. In addition to main stages, the girls had to parade in front of the jury in national costumes.

The main idea of the event is the unity of cultures, the friendship of peoples. The girls represented seven countries – Belarus, India, Sri Lanka, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Congo and China. VSMU students were among the finalists: Sharon Henry Daniel (India) and Hapu Arachchige Chamodi Ranjula Gunaratne (Sri Lanka).

Every year the competition expands, more and more girls from various universities take part in it. For example, this year among the contestants were the students of Vitebsk State Order of Peoples' Friendship Medical University, Vitebsk State University named after P.M. Masherov, Belarusian State University of Culture and Art, Vitebsk State Academy of Veterinary Medicine, and Vitebsk State Technological University.

The intrigue of the evening was resolved by the following results: the winner of the competition was Lu Lu (China), a student of Vitebsk State University named after P. M. Masherov; the first vice-miss was Dunya Atajanova (Turkmenistan), a student of Vitebsk State University named after P. M. Masherov; the title of second vice-miss was awarded to Sharon Henry Daniel (India), a student of Vitebsk State Order of Peoples' Friendship of the Medical University.

This wonderful competition gave strength and inspired a large number of people, including Timofei Beinarovich, a student of our university. He even composed a song for this event and presented it on stage.

The "Grace International" competition was the first event in our city after the title of "Youth Capital" was awarded.
